The True Definition of Confidential
The American Heritage College Dictionary defines confidential as:
- Done or communicated in confidence; secret.
- Entrusted with the confidence of another.
- Indicating confidence or intimacy.
- Containing secret information, the unauthorized disclosure of which poses a threat to national security.
Online are many more definitions such as entrusting one’s secret information or private affairs; done or communicated in secret and others. The true definition of confidential with a drug treatment program is, well, that’s confidential, sorry.
Seriously, confidential treatment is the core and the success of many drug rehab treatment programs. Addiction is recognized as a disease and one’s medical history is not shared with the public at large and neither would an addiction treatment.

Drug addiction does not happen to just the poor, the homeless, the projects. It happens to every race, every culture, every age, every financial situation. Perhaps the least likely discriminatory factor in life today, drug addiction will strike anyone, anywhere if it is allowed to try.
Teenagers, executives and business owners, attorneys, politicians, celebrities, soccer moms, they all can become statistical victims of drug addiction. Yet if they are in a confidential program and the paparazzi or a competitor or fan tries to find out? There will be no success when it comes to a confidential drug rehab.
The true definition of confidential is not “well, we can take a message”. It is not “how much will you pay me for a story?”. No, confidential drug rehab is all about victory and success for the drug addict and in doing that, victory and success for his family and the confidential drug rehab program he took part in.
Life is stressful enough for someone trying to run a company and overcome addiction and a confidential program is the key to a successful detoxification and recovery. The treatment program is designed for that particular lifestyle so that the right tips, the right building blocks can work together to ensure the person beats the addiction and learns how to survive stress without a relapse. Support groups designed for each case are also part of the confidential success and several people have found themselves with those they might never have suspected of a problem who in turn can end up becoming a lifelong friend as well as a support system.
The true definition of confidential is that you may not realize how real and how secure and how dedicated the program is to your privacy because it is just that, private and it will respect your privacy as well. You have mastered the world of owning a company or rising in the ranks financially; now master the addiction to drugs or alcohol that you have and do so in a confidential setting. Call the helpline for further details as again, we believe in being confidential.

I had a bad experience with a treatment center releasing information it was not suppose to, its nice to see that some centers take great care in confidence.
Two years ago I managed to get my mother into a drug rehab program. She was still working full time and would have lost her job if her company found out. We got a stress leave granted with the help of her family doctor. During the middle of her program, one of the bone head counselors working there decided to contact her place of employment and informed them of what was happening. Needless to say my mother almost lost her job and I had to enter her into a new program, where actually practiced confidentiality.
Very good information.
I am not going to be original this time, so all I am going to say that your blog rocks, sad that I don’t have suck a writing skills
